Q. How is a KD Kanopy better than similar lower cost canopies?

A. KD Kanopy products are made from aluminum and have a scissor bar action frame with Dynidiom fittings. These unique design features ensure they will be stronger, more durable and lighter than metal canopies.

Q. How strong is the canopy?

A. The scissor bars can withstand 114 lbs of pressure. The only time they sustain damage is from being left up in excessive wind or if the canopy is forcibly opened/closed. They do not bend from everyday use.

Q. How much wind can a canopy withstand?

A. The canopies can take wind up to 35 miles per hour when properly staked down.

Q. What type of fabric is used to make the tops, side panels and rail curtains?

A. They are made with a 250 denier Oxford polyester. The fabric is treated to be fire retardant, water resistant and is UV protected.

Q. How do you wash the fabric items?

A. Place the items on the frame and set it at the lowest height. Rinse with water and then lightly scrub with mild detergent and a soft brush (do not brush any graphics printed on the fabric items). Rinse again and dry thoroughly before storing.

Q. How are your graphics printed on the fabric items?

A. Our graphics are screen printed and then heat cured into the fabric. This eliminates leaks caused by sewing the prints onto the tops. We also have full coverage digital printing available.

Q. What is the height and clearance of the standard canopy top?

A. Units are adjustable from 55" to 81" in height at the sides. Inside the canopy, the peak height is from 117" to 133".

Q. What are the Starshade and Starstage canopies?

A. They are very large canopies in the shape of a star and are ideal for events where there is a large area that needs to be covered.

Q. How do side panels attach to the canopy?

A. Side panels are attached to the canopy cross bars by Velcro. They can also be purchased with zippers to provide a completely enclosed area.

Q. What are the artwork requirements?

A. Artwork Provided on a CD/DVD must be IBM or MAC formatted. The artwork must be created in Adobe Illustrator and must contain color separations. It has to be saved in EPS Format. PMS/Pantone Coding is needed for correct color matching.

Q. Can the canopy be secured on an asphalt surface?

A. A sand bag can be attached to each leg. They rest on the foot plate to keep the canopy secure. Each bag holds up to 35 lbs of sand.
